Call for nominations for the 2024 Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs)

We are pleased to announce that entries to the 2024 TECAs, sponsored by Altia, are now open. All those working in the economic crime sector are encouraged to nominate themselves or others who have made a significant contribution in tackling all areas of crime, such as fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, tax evasion, counterfeiting and corporate espionage.

The awards have been running for six years and acknowledge individuals, teams, initiatives, and companies working in the UK across the public, private and third sectors, also including a category for those operating outside of the UK.

The awards are designed to be both independent and inclusive, providing an opportunity for outstanding performers to be recognised and their successes to be celebrated.

Commenting on the awards, founder Professor Martin Gill said, “Building on the resounding success of previous years, we are delighted to announce the opening of the entries for 2024. The judges, all nominated by fraud specialist associations and groups, will mark entries to an ethics policy, declaring any conflict of interest on every mark sheet. The aim is to create a level playing field which is open and fair for all those who tackle economic crime. We are also looking forward to hosting a second Thought Leadership Summit, sponsored by Greylist Trace, after our first event was met with a positive response last year.”

The entry process is open until 1st August 2024 and nominations are free to submit in the following categories:

Outstanding Manager or Director
Outstanding Team
Outstanding Training Initiative
Outstanding New Product, Software or Technology
Outstanding Investigator
Outstanding Partnership
Outstanding Public Sector/Law Enforcement Initiative sponsored by Secretariat
Outstanding Private/Third Sector Initiative
Outstanding Young Professional sponsored by CFPAB
Outstanding Female Economic Crime Professional
Outstanding Individual Contribution to Tackling Economic Crime
Outstanding Overseas Initiative

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner to be held at the Novotel London West on Friday, 15 November 2024, following a Thought Leadership Summit in the afternoon.

We are grateful to all our sponsors for their support: Altia (headline sponsor); Asset Reality (trophies and certificates); Greylist Trace (thought leadership summit); CFPAB, Cifas, and Secretariat (categories).
